Qualifications

• Ability to translate financial data into actionable insights and support business performance.
• Experience partnering with senior stakeholders in international environments.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Business Controller who wants to combine finance, technology and business acumen in a role supporting Battery & Charging within a global R&D organization at our client, a company within the commercial vehicle industry.

In this role, you will act as a trusted business partner to R&D leaders, delivering financial insights and analysis that support strategic decision-making and the development of future battery and charging solutions. The R&D organization is going through significant changes in ways of working, systems and roles, and the Controlling function is evolving in parallel. You will help shape and implement the future financial management model while operating in a global setting with close ties to engineering, project management and finance.

Responsibilities

You will join a small Controlling team and collaborate closely with R&D leaders, project managers and finance colleagues across the organization. Your remit covers financial planning, budgeting and forecasting, along with financial analysis, business cases and scenario evaluations that support decision-making. You will also handle KPI tracking, reporting and presentations, and contribute to developing future Controlling processes, methods and tools.

The role involves supporting strategic decision-making, financial governance and business performance, while working across leadership teams, R&D functions and other Controlling teams within a global organization.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Economics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or a related field
• At least 3–5 years of experience in Business Controlling
• Interest in electrification, battery technologies and the transformation of the commercial vehicle industry
• Demonstrated ability to translate financial data into actionable insights and support business performance in a structured, analytical way
• Experience partnering with senior stakeholders and management teams in complex, international environments
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust and influence decisions across finance and operational functions
• Strong analytical and digital capabilities, including advanced skills in Excel, Power BI and PowerPoint
• High integrity, curiosity and genuine interest in products, technology, operations and the key drivers behind successful R&D organizations
• Collaborative mindset, able to create value through teamwork, networking and cross-functional cooperation
• Professional fluency in English, written and spoken

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP is considered a strong advantage
• Fluency in Swedish is beneficial

Scope and location

The assignment is based within a global R&D organization, working closely with engineering, project management and finance functions. Further details on scope, location/remote arrangements and start date will be shared separately upon interest.
