Job summary

Synoptik Sweden, part of EssilorLuxottica, seeks a Business Controller to partner with Retail Director, Regional Managers, Store Operations and Marketing. You will join the Nordic Controlling team, reporting to Head of Controlling in Sweden, and lead forecasting, budgeting and monthly close activities.

Your role blends analytics with business partnering in a hybrid office located near Kista Galleria, with two days at home per week. Fluent English is required; Swedish is a strong advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in Business Controlling or a similar analytical role.
• Experience from retail and global organizations is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize reporting frameworks and dashboards for key stakeholders, mainly using Power BI and Excel.
• Present weekly and monthly commercial and financial performance to management.
• Deliver actionable business insights and analyses that create value across the organization.
• Lead the forecasting and budgeting process for the business area.
• Support monthly closing activities, reporting, and presentation preparation for owners EssilorLuxottica.
• Contribute to continuous improvement across processes, tools, and ways of working within the Nordic Controlling team.
• Act as a sparring partner for cross-functional initiatives and strategic projects.

Your role

As a Business Controller for Synoptik Sweden and Smarteyes Sweden you are serving as the primary financial partner to the Retail Director, Regional Managers, Store Operations and Marketing team. You will be part of the Scandinavian Controlling team which includes 13 colleagues. You will report to Head of Controlling in Sweden. Your main responsibility will be:

• Develop, maintain, and optimize reporting frameworks and dashboards for key stakeholders, mainly using Power BI and Excel.
• Present weekly and monthly commercial and financial performance to management.
• Deliver actionable business insights and analyses that support decisions and create value across the organization.
• Lead the forecasting and budgeting process for your business area.
• Support monthly closing activities, reporting, and presentation preparation for our owners EssilorLuxottica.
• Contribute to continuous improvement across processes, tools, and ways of working within the Nordic Controlling team.
• Act as a sparring partner for cross-functional initiatives and strategic projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in Business Controlling or a similar analytical role.
• Experience from the retail industry and working in a global organization, with an understanding of corporate governance and reporting requirements, is highly beneficial.

Competencies & Skills

• Experience in data extraction and data modelling.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
• Excellent communication skills, able to present complex data in a clear and engaging way.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP, is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Fluent in English; fluency in Swedish is a strong advantage.

The role is a permanent position where we see that you start your introduction as soon as possible. Your workplace is located at Synoptik’s service office in premises with excellent transport connections next to Kista Galleria. We apply a hybrid office model, where you can work 2 days from home per week.
