Job summary

Recann in Södertälje seeks an experienced Business Controller for a high-impact on-site assignment supporting the E-Mobility & Battery Systems division of a leading international commercial vehicle manufacturer. You will act as a trusted Business Partner to R&D directors, engineering leaders, and project managers.

You will deliver financial steering, construct business cases for next-generation technology programs, and actively contribute to modernizing financial management processes

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in Business Controlling within an international setting.
• Advanced Excel, Power BI and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentations.
• Proven ability translating data into strategic insights for technical leaders.
• Professional fluency in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Financial Steering & Planning: lead budgeting, forecasting and multi-year planning for the R&D battery/charging area.
• Decision Support & Analysis: build robust models and business cases for investments.
• Performance Reporting: monitor and present core R&D KPIs to global management.
• Process Modernization: help design and implement future Controlling tools and methods.
• Cross-Functional Partnering: collaborate with engineering and group finance across locations.

We are seeking an experienced Business Controller for a high-impact on-site assignment in Södertälje to support the E-Mobility & Battery Systems division of a leading international commercial vehicle manufacturer.

In this role, you will act as a trusted Business Partner to R&D directors, engineering leaders, and project managers. You will deliver financial steering, construct business cases for next-generation technology programs, and actively contribute to modernizing financial management processes across a global engineering organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Steering & Planning: Drive budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and multi-year financial planning for the battery and charging R&D organization.
• Decision Support & Analysis: Construct robust financial models, business cases, and scenario assessments to evaluate major technological and product development investments.
• Performance Reporting: Monitor, analyze, and present core R&D operational metrics and financial KPIs directly to global management teams.
• Process Modernization: Contribute to designing, implementing, and refining future Controlling tools and methodologies during major system and operational shifts.
• Cross-Functional Partnering: Collaborate daily with engineering stakeholders, project leaders, and group finance functions across international locations.

Qualifications & Requirements

Core Requirements

• Education: Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 3 to 5+ years of hands‑on experience in Business Controlling within an international engineering, automotive, or industrial setting.
• Digital Capabilities: Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint for data analysis and leadership presentations.
• Stakeholder Management: Proven track record translating complex data into clear strategic insights for technical and business leaders.
• Languages: Professional fluency in English (written and spoken) is required.

Desirable Qualifications

• Systems: Experience with SAP modules and enterprise reporting systems.
• Languages: Professional working proficiency in Swedish is advantageous.
• Industry Interest: Strong interest in electrification, sustainable transport, and commercial vehicle technologies.
