Our client in Gothenburg, Sweden, is seeking an experienced Program Controller to steer vehicle development programs from concept through launch and beyond. This role partners with Program Managers and stakeholders to hit financial targets, investments, and profitability throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of experience in controlling, financial analysis, business controlling, or similar roles.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong experience handling and interpreting large datasets.
  • Proven experience setting, monitoring, and managing financial targets.
  • Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to consolidate inputs from multiple functions into clear financial insights.
  • Good understanding of cost structures, profitability drivers, and revenue dynamics within the automotive industry.

Responsibilities

  • Actively support and steer vehicle programs towards established financial and strategic targets.
  • Manage and maintain program cost tracking and investment follow-up.
  • Deliver accurate and quality-assured cost, investment, and profitability data for key program milestones.
  • Analyze financial performance and explain variances, risks, and opportunities.
  • Ensure accuracy and transparency of profit model inputs by monitoring systems and data quality.
  • Support budget, forecast, business planning, and investment planning processes.
  • Prepare business cases, financial investigations, and decision-support material for management.
  • Present financial development and program status clearly to stakeholders and leadership teams.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize profitability and improve financial performance throughout the vehicle lifecycle.

Our client is seeking an experienced Program Controller to play a key role in steering vehicle development programs from concept through to launch and beyond. This is a highly visible position where you will partner with Program Managers and key stakeholders across the business to ensure financial targets, investments, and profitability objectives are achieved throughout the vehicle lifecycle.

Working at the intersection of finance, engineering, and business strategy, you will collaborate with teams across Program Office, R&D, Manufacturing, Design, Procurement, Business Office, Volume Planning, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities
