Job summary

Grafana Labs is hiring a Backend Engineer for the Platform - Stacks. The role is remote-first, globally distributed, and designed for engineers who thrive on building production systems with stateful workflows and reconciliation loops.

In Sweden, compensation is structured with RSUs and a generous annual leave policy. You will own stack operations, contribute to reliability, and collaborate across squads to deliver scalable Grafana Cloud experiences.

Qualifications

At least 1 year of fully remote work experience.
Experience with SaaS platforms and distributed systems concepts (scalability, multi-tenancy, HA).
Proficiency in Golang and backend services.
Focus on developer and user experience and the quality of the products you work on.
Experience delivering projects from ideation to shipped product.
Write clean, well-tested software and iterate to deliver working solutions.
Collaborate across teams and align with stakeholders.
Familiarity with Kubernetes in AWS, GCP, or Azure and IaC tooling (Helm, Terraform, Jsonnet).
Experience participating in blameless incident response and post-incident reviews.

Responsibilities

Write efficient, readable, and maintainable code for Grafana Cloud.
Build new microservices or systems and collaborate with teammates across departments.
Coordinate with product and UX when needed and respond to customer feedback.
Participate in OnCall rotations when ready and contribute to roadmap decisions.
Improve operational reliability and reduce deployment complexity where possible.
