Job summary

Swediumglobal is seeking an experienced Automation Test Coordinator / Senior QA Engineer to join a major transformation initiative within a leading Nordic banking organization. This role focuses on strengthening the testing and quality assurance capabilities with hands-on testing and collaboration across teams.

The ideal candidate will execute and coordinate testing activities, manage test data, and support automation testing efforts. Strong experience in QA and agile practices is required. The position offers a hybrid work model with three days onsite and two days remote.

Role Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Automation Test Coordinator / Senior QA Engineer to join a major transformation initiative within a leading Nordic banking organization. This role will play a key part in strengthening the testing and quality assurance capabilities of the team, with a strong focus on hands‑on testing, test execution, test data preparation, and quality validation across business‑critical applications.

The successful candidate will work closely with the overall Test Coordinator / Test Lead and collaborate with developers, Product Owners, and cross‑functional teams to ensure high‑quality delivery throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute and coordinate functional, integration, and system testing activities within the project team.
• Prepare, manage, and validate test data required for successful test execution.
• Verify test environments and ensure readiness for planned testing activities.
• Perform defect analysis, tracking, follow‑up, and validation of fixes.
• Support automation testing initiatives and contribute to continuous quality improvement efforts.
• Collaborate closely with developers, Product Owners, business stakeholders, and test teams across multiple workstreams.
• Assist in ensuring test coverage, quality standards, and delivery objectives are achieved.
• Support ongoing testing activities within the PMWeb and Olympic application areas.
• Contribute to improving testing processes, execution efficiency, and overall product quality.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Extensive experience as a Senior QA Engineer, Test Engineer, Automation Tester, or Test Coordinator.
• Strong hands‑on experience in functional and integration testing.
• Experience with test planning, test execution, defect management, and test reporting.
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, quality assurance processes, and testing best practices.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a quality‑focused mindset.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration abilities.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with automation testing frameworks and tools.
• Knowledge of banking, financial services, or highly regulated environments.
• Familiarity with test data management and environment coordination.
• Experience supporting large‑scale transformation or system implementation programs.
• Understanding of CI/CD and continuous testing practices.
