Job summary

CGN Europe Energy in Sweden seeks a senior operations lead to drive wind farm performance, oversee technical and commercial activities, and manage stakeholder relations.

You will coordinate maintenance, optimize contracts, ensure HSE compliance, and report on energy production and reliability improvements across sites.

Qualifications

• Master’s in Renewable Energy, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Familiar with wind farm operations and technical systems.
• Knowledge of the Nord Pool electricity market (preferred).
• At least 3 years in wind power asset or O&M management or related renewable energy roles.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall operational performance of wind farms; monitor production indicators and downtime losses.
• Manage O&M contracts, PPAs, grid connections and service agreements; track budget and costs.
• Coordinate O&M contractors; review maintenance plans and fault handling solutions.
• Ensure compliance with Swedish laws, permits and environmental regulations; manage HSE on-site.
• Act as owner’s representative with investors, grid operators, authorities, landowners and partners.

Job description

Requirements:

Operational Management

• Responsible for the overall operational performance of the wind farms under management (energy production, availability, and failure rate)
• Monitor SCADA data, alarms, downtime losses, and production indicators
• Organize monthly, quarterly, and annual operational reports
• Conduct KPI deviation analysis and propose optimization measures

Commercial & Contract Management

• Manage O&M contracts, PPAs, grid connection agreements, and service agreements
• Track contract performance, claims, and negotiations
• Participate in supplier tendering and cost reduction initiatives
• Be responsible for budget preparation, OPEX control, and expense review

Technical & O&M Coordination

• Coordinate and oversee the performance and contract fulfillment of O&M contractors
• Review preventive maintenance plans and major fault handling solutions
• Participate in the analysis and rectification of major technical issues
• Drive technical improvement and performance enhancement projects

Compliance & HSE

• Ensure compliance with Swedish laws, permits, and environmental regulations
• Implement HSE systems and manage on-site risks
• Organize safety training and conduct audits

Stakeholder Management

Act as the owner’s representative in liaising with:

• Investors / shareholders
• Grid operators
• Government and regulatory authorities
• Landowners and local communities
• Maintain long-term relationships with clients and partners

Qualifications

• Master’s in Renewable Energy, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Familiar with wind farm operations and technical systems
• Knowledge of the Nord Pool electricity market (preferred)

Experience

At least 3 years of experience in one of the following areas:

• Wind power asset management
• Wind power O&M management
• Renewable energy project management
• Electricity market or power sales operations
