Aecon Group Inc. seeks a dynamic Technical Director to oversee redevelopment and transition to operations of Cyril E. King and Henry E.

Rohlsen Airports in the US Virgin Islands, a major PPP project. You will lead all technical aspects from development through operational readiness, liaising with airlines, agencies (CBP, TSA), and authorities having jurisdiction. The role requires exceptional leadership, multi-tasking ability, and a proven track record delivering airport/civil infrastructure

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a related field.
• 15+ years of proven experience as a Project Manager for airport and civil infrastructure projects, with a successful track record from initiation to completion.
• PMP certification is a plus.
• Willingness for frequent travel to or permanent location in USVI during project execution.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key member of the executive team, contributing to strategic decision-making and corporate planning.
• Lead cross-functional coordination with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies and commercial partners.
• Ensure integration of technical development with financial, legal, and operational frameworks.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
• Lead technical project teams by assigning tasks, providing guidance, and fostering collaboration.
• Lead the development of project governance structures, risk management frameworks, and performance monitoring systems.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide updates.
• Design and present reports to various stakeholders.
• Monitor budgets and expenses, reporting progress vs. budget, variance, risk, and opportunity.
• Establish project-wide quality standards and coordinate QA/QC activities.
• Track schedules and milestones, adjusting plans to meet deadlines.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and change requests.
• Coordinate with partners on contract administration and ORAT readiness.
