Our Civil East sector focuses on heavy civil construction, building bridges, highways, tunnels, airports, and island‑specific infrastructure in the Caribbean. The Senior Planner position will support the successful execution of planning tasks and maintain high‑quality deliverables while based in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

What Is the Opportunity?

The Senior Planner will coordinate and produce project plans, ensuring clarity, integrity, and timely delivery. The role involves working closely with cross‑functional teams and clients to manage data, forecast resources, and maintain schedule health throughout the project lifecycle.

What You'll Do Here
  • Perform and coordinate collection, verification, and integration of work scope for all entities into the total project plan.
  • Review representation of project scope in schedules.
  • Develop and maintain all required project schedules, ensuring data integrity across the entire project life cycle.
  • Create key scheduling requirements such as bespoke activity coding, naming conventions, client requirement management protocol, project calendars, and resource/plant data libraries.
  • Support resource planning and analysis by forecasting the requirement of labor, materials, and equipment over the course of the project based on work front analysis.
  • Perform productivity analysis of construction operations and verify accordingly.
  • Establish a productivity basis for estimates and review labor estimates for reasonableness.
  • Prepare progress reports and dashboards to provide status updates to internal and external clients.
  • Analyze schedule variance, float, trending, and monitor schedule KPIs.
  • Develop progress measurement processes and analyze performance data.
  • Manage schedule change notices, forecast project impact, and implement corrective action when performance trends deviate from the baseline.
  • Perform audits on schedules produced by subcontractors and prepare all required output documents.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to maintain, add, or modify schedule data and plans.
  • Support 5D integration of schedule with the 3D model, including cost reporting, cash‑flow, and sequence simulations.
  • Create and maintain an inclusive, respectful collaborative culture.
  • Supervise, develop, and mentor project controls personnel, including planners and coordinators.
What You Bring To The Team
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 7–10 years of planning experience on large‑scale projects.
  • Proven ability to plan, schedule, and manage complex projects.
  • Problem‑solving skills with sound judgment and acceptance of ownership and accountability.
  • Expert knowledge of project planning and scheduling software, such as Primavera P6.
  • Knowledge of PowerBI and Synchro is an asset.
