Job summary

Vainu is hiring to build an agentic layer that operates across CS, Sales, Marketing, and RevOps in the background. You will own and ship agents that interact with customers through email, phone, chat, Slack, and in-product, shaping a new core capability.

You will work on autonomous customer processes, growth‑oriented agents, and rigorous validation, with the founders guiding the vision. Location-based in Helsinki or Stockholm, with a strong emphasis on real user impact.

We are building an agentic layer that works Vainu's own accounts, pipeline, support, and renewals in the background. You will build those agents and own them, across CS, Sales, Marketing, and RevOps. Vainu’s AI thesis

We are headless-first. We believe the primary user of our software will be an agent, not a person. Already now, every capability is reachable through APIs, CLI tools, and MCP servers. A GUI will be something for humans afterwards, if it earns its place.

A Glimpse Of What Your Work Will Entail

You will contribute to building Vainu's agentic layer: the systems that let agents support our commercial work in the background, across multiple departments. It is a new layer with a small team, so you will have the opportunity to impact and shape the next big shift at Vainu.

• Building autonomous customer processes. One knowledge layer that updates itself from customer conversations, product releases, and other events that change what is true about Vainu, and agents that use it to answer questions across email, phone, chat, Slack, and in-product. You build the whole loop: the agent that answers, and the pipeline that keeps it right. Success is when our team can focus on conversations where human interaction creates most value.
• Orchestrating Growth agents. Agents that read customer usage, health, and signals against our offering, then flag expansion, risk, and timing with sources attached. They write CRM entries, create opportunities, send emails, and pull a human in when a human is the right move.
• Prove that it works. Every agent has to beat the process it replaces, and you have to show it. Named tests that can go red, monitoring in production, honest comparison against how the work was done before. We would rather kill an agent than run one that quietly performs worse than manual handling.

Our goal is for agents to handle routine parts of customer processes, freeing us to do the work where we create most value.

What We Need To See

• You have built things people have used. A company you started, an automation that ran your team's workflow, a tool, an agent, a side project with users who were not you. No technical degree is required, only proof of what you have built.
• You operate comfortably with dev tools. LLMs, APIs, n8n, Git, GCP, and whatever the problem needs next. When the right tool is one you have never touched, you have something running in it by the end of the week.
• You are business-curious. You want to know how a technical decision shows up in pipeline, retention, and revenue.
• You will be handed problems nobody here knows how to solve. No runbook, no spec. Take the problem regardless, work out what it is, find the tooling, come back with something running. Then tell us straight what it does and does not do yet.

What You Get

Most people spend five years choosing between the commercial track and the technical one. This role is both from day one. You sit close enough to sales, CS, Marketing, and RevOps to see where money is won and lost, and you build the systems that change it.

You will work independently on your projects but together with a small and ambitious team similar to your capabilities. You will work closely with your team and with consultation from the founders to build out Vainu’s agentic layer.

We will not shield you from the hard problems, because the hard problems are the training. If you want to start a company one day, this is a place for you.

Work setup and salary

Location: Helsinki or Stockholm office. Full-time in the office for the first 6 months, then 2-3 days per week in the office.

Base salary: 4.000 € - 5.500 € (monthly gross salary). Where you land in the range depends on your experience and what you've shipped.
