Job summary
IST Group is seeking an experienced Development Manager to lead and evolve our development organization in Växjö. You will guide several engineering teams, partnering with Product Owners and Architects to deliver high-quality software for education technology.
You’ll champion people, software quality, delivery discipline, and continuous improvement, while exploring AI-enabled workflows and new tech to empower teams and students across Europe.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or related field.
- Experience leading software development teams and delivering software products.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with agile development methodologies.
- Ability to balance people management with delivery needs.
- Interest in AI and its impact on software development.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and support some development teams.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive and high-performing engineering culture.
- Support team members in their professional growth and development.
- Ensure effective ways of working, agile processes and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and other stakeholders to align priorities and deliveries.
- Drive recruitment, onboarding and team development activities.
- Help teams remove obstacles and improve delivery capabilities.
- Follow up on team goals, performance, engagement and work environment.
- Encourage experimentation and learning around new technologies, including AI-driven tools and workflows.
