Job summary

IST Group AB is seeking an experienced Development Manager who thrives at the intersection of technology, people, and delivery and who is ready to lead and evolve our development organization to the next level.

You will guide and inspire multiple development teams, collaborate with Product Owners and Architects, and foster a collaborative, high-performing engineering culture while exploring AI-enabled tools to improve how we plan, code, and deliver.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or related field.
• Proven leadership experience within software development.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with agile development methodologies.
• Ability to balance people management with delivery needs.
• Coaching and supportive leadership style.
• Interest in AI and how new technologies can improve team delivery.
• Fluent English communication, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and support some development teams.
• Foster a collaborative, inclusive and high-performing engineering culture.
• Support team members in their professional growth and development.
• Ensure effective ways of working, agile processes and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and other stakeholders to align priorities and deliveries.
• Drive recruitment, onboarding and team development activities.
• Help teams remove obstacles and improve delivery capabilities.
• Follow up on team goals, performance, engagement and work environment.
• Encourage experimentation and learning around new technologies, including AI-driven tools and workflows.
