IST Group AB söker en erfaren Development Manager som leder vår utvecklingsorganisation och höjer nivån på våra team. Rollen kräver ledarskap, fokus på människor och leverans, samt intresse för hur AI kan stödja utveckling och samarbete.

Du kommer att vägleda team av mjukvaruutvecklare, arbeta tillsammans med Product Owners och Arkitekter och sträva efter hög kvalitet i molnbaserade lösningar som används av tusentals skolor i Europa.

Qualifications

• Krav: Civilingenjör/akademisk examen inom IT/utveckling.
• Erfarenhet av ledarskap inom mjukvaruutveckling.
• Goda kommunikations- och samarbetsfärdigheter.
• Erfarenhet av agila arbetsmetoder.
• Fluent English i tal och skrift.

Responsibilities

• Leda, coacha och stödja utvecklingsteam.

Role overview

We are looking for a Development Manager who is passionate about people, software development and building high-performing engineering teams. In this role, you will lead and support a few development teams while working closely with Product Owners, Architects and other stakeholders to create high-quality software solutions.

As a Development Manager, your primary focus will be leadership, team development, delivery and creating an environment where engineers can thrive and do their best work. We also believe you are curious about emerging technologies and interested in how AI can support software development, collaboration and innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and support some development teams
• Foster a collaborative, inclusive and high-performing engineering culture
• Support team members in their professional growth and development
• Ensure effective ways of working, agile processes and continuous improvement
• Collaborate with Product Owners and other stakeholders to align priorities and deliveries
• Drive recruitment, onboarding and team development activities
• Help teams remove obstacles and improve delivery capabilities
• Follow up on team goals, performance, engagement and work environment
• Encourage experimentation and learning around new technologies, including AI-driven tools and workflows

We believe you have the following experience, capabilities and personal skills to succeed in this role:

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or related field
• Previous experience in a leadership role within software development
• A background in software engineering or technical product development
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Experience working with agile development methodologies
• The ability to balance people management with business and delivery needs
• A coaching and supportive leadership style
• An interest in AI and how new technologies can improve the way teams work and deliver software
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken

What we offer

This is a full-time, permanent position, located at our Växjö office. At IST, we apply an office-first policy, meaning we primarily work from the office as we believe physical presence fosters collaboration, innovation, and a strong team spirit. At the same time, we understand the importance of flexibility—if you live farther away, working from the office three days a week with the remaining time remote may be possible.
