Job summary

Codon Consulting in Sweden seeks an experienced Engineering Manager to lead an AI/data engineering practice and grow capabilities. You will balance people leadership with hands-on project delivery, ensuring high-quality, production-grade solutions.

You will hire, coach, and mentor engineers, establish engineering best practices, and shape the AI roadmap while collaborating across the organization and with customers to deliver real business impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, data engineering, AI, ML, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in data engineering, machine learning, or AI development.
• 2+ years of people management or documented leadership experience.
• Proven track record of shipping high-value AI/ML solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of AI and/or data engineers.
• Drive hiring, performance management, and career development.
• Establish engineering best practices, coding standards, and delivery processes.
• Lead development and deployment of AI/data solutions including generative AI apps.
• Support leadership in defining the organization’s AI engineering roadmap.
• Collaborate cross-functionally across the organization and with leadership.
• Support mid-market and enterprise business development activities.
• Engage with customers at senior and strategic levels.
