Job summary

Codon Consulting in Sweden seeks an experienced Engineering Manager to lead an AI/data engineering practice and grow capabilities. You will balance people leadership with hands-on project delivery, ensuring high-quality, production-grade solutions.

You will hire, coach, and mentor engineers, establish engineering best practices, and shape the AI roadmap while collaborating across the organization and with customers to deliver real business impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, data engineering, AI, ML, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in data engineering, machine learning, or AI development.
• 2+ years of people management or documented leadership experience.
• Proven track record of shipping high-value AI/ML solutions.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to help us continue building the leading AI and data consultancy in Sweden to deliver solutions that has real impact. This role combines people leadership with contribution to company and technical strategy. You will be responsible to lead and grow capabilities in a technical practice such as AI or data engineering – we call it Practice lead.

You will lead and support an engineering team that works in multidisciplinary projects to deliver production grade solutions. Your responsibility is that we deliver high technical quality that meets business needs and develop the team that makes this possible. You will both work as a people manager and be engaged in projects.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in AI and/or data engineering combined with, documented leadership experience and a track record of building high value solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, data engineering, AI, Machine Learning, or related field
• 7+ years of experience in data engineering, machine learning, or AI development

• Proven track record of shipping high value solutions
• Experience with Generative AI and LLM production systems
• Experience leading enterprise AI transformation initiatives
• AI architecture and solution design

• Full professional proficiency in Swedish and English
