Job summary

Antrino Labs is seeking an experienced AI Backend Engineer to build the core intelligence layer of its fast-scaling platform. You will craft backend services, the compiler, and runtime for AI-driven graphs, integrated with LLM APIs and multiple model providers.

You will work across Python and TypeScript services, designing robust APIs and data models. Collaborate with teams in Stockholm and Bangalore to deploy high-quality, auditable pipelines and evolve the platform.

Qualifications

• Substantial backend experience on production systems, ideally where an LLM or ML model is part of the core logic.
• Strong Python, and comfort in TypeScript or Node.js
• Experience designing APIs, data models, and service boundaries, including PostgreSQL
• Experience building with LLM APIs beyond a chat wrapper: tool use, structured output, agentic flows, or a model as one step in a larger pipeline
• Understanding how to test systems with non-deterministic components
• Experience with real-time or streaming data is a strong advantage
• Excellent written and spoken English; Swedish is a plus, not required

Responsibilities

• Build backend services for detection, classification, and measurement (Python + FastAPI).
• Develop the compiler that turns a Studio graph into an execution plan and the runtime that runs it.
• Create routing logic for model assignment with cost gating.
• Develop the Agent's interview, graph-editing, and deployment flows to transform language into pipelines.
• Integrate first-party detection models and frontier models behind a unified interface.
• Turn raw model output into structured, auditable events and evidence.
• Design APIs and data models for streams, behaviors, runs, and events in PostgreSQL with row-level security.
• Write tests and evaluation harnesses for non-deterministic logic.
• Debug production issues spanning customer requests, orchestration, and model calls.
