GKN Aerospace Sweden seeks a Process Engineer with metallurgy and aerospace materials expertise to develop and optimize casting processes for next-generation aircraft engines. You will work with Materials and Process experts across sites to advance technology maturation.

The role focuses on Design-for-Manufacturing for investment casting, data analysis, and collaboration with suppliers and researchers. A strong MSc in materials/manufacturing and English skills are required; Swedish is a plus.

Qualifications

MSc degree in materials or manufacturing engineering or equivalent.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, with the ability to write technical documents. Proficiency in Swedish is preferred.

Responsabilités

Provide specialist expertise in materials and processes within Technology teams.
Drive technology maturation related to casting process, including repair and rework methods.
In your daily work, support data collection, perform in-depth data analysis, and contribute to technical reports and presentations on project timelines.
Drive Design-for-Manufacturing (DfM) for the investment casting process, from concepts to final designs, and review casting simulations to optimize component designs and manufacturing steps.
