Job summary

GKN Aerospace Sweden is seeking a Design Engineer to join our Design and Configuration Management team. You will contribute across the product life cycle, delivering innovative design solutions that meet OMS and product requirements.

The role requires a MSc/BSc in aerospace/mechanical engineering, CAD/PLM proficiency (Teamcenter and NX), GD&T knowledge, and strong English and Swedish skills, with 5+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Proficiency with CAD/PLM tools, specifically Siemens Teamcenter and NX.
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) standards (ASME Y14.5 and ISO).

Responsibilities

• Design creation and management of drawings, CAD models, and interfaces using Teamcenter and NX.
• Data oversight: store, maintain, and release design data in Teamcenter.
• Conduct design studies, implement changes, and document geometry updates with justification.
• Perform tolerance stack-ups to ensure robust, reliable designs.
