GKN Aerospace in Sweden is seeking a Process Engineer with expertise in metallurgy and aerospace materials to develop and optimize casting technologies for the next generation of aircraft engines.

You will lead technology maturation projects, contribute to plans, collaborate across sites, and influence product design through Design-for-Manufacturing and supplier interactions while advancing our investment casting capabilities.

Qualifications

• MSc degree in materials or manufacturing engineering or equivalent.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, with the ability to write technical documents. Proficiency in Swedish is preferred.
• Experience with aerospace materials such as titanium/nickel alloys and ceramic materials, and investment casting processes is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Provide specialist expertise in materials and processes within Technology teams.
• Drive technology maturation related to casting processes and support data collection and reporting.
• Lead Design-for-Manufacturing (DfM) for the investment casting process from concepts to final designs, including supplier communications and casting simulations.
