Job summary

GKN Aerospace Sweden seeks a Design Engineer to shape the future of aero engine components within the Design and Configuration Management team. You will contribute across the product life cycle, delivering innovative design solutions that meet OMS and product requirements.

You will work with CAD/PLM tools (Teamcenter/NX), GD&T knowledge, and strong communication to balance performance, cost, and quality in a collaborative, high‑performing environment.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Proficiency with CAD/PLM tools: Teamcenter and NX.
• Knowledge of GD&T standards (ASME Y14.5 and ISO).
• Fluency in English and Swedish, both written and spoken.
• 5+ years of experience as a design engineer.

Responsibilities

• Design data creation & management: Develop and update design data, including product drawings, CAD models, and geometrical interfaces, using Siemens PLM (Teamcenter) and NX software.
• Data Oversight: Store, maintain, and release design data in Siemens Teamcenter.
• Design Innovation: Conduct design studies, implement changes, and create geometrical interface documentation while justifying updates to requirements.
• Technical Precision: Perform tolerance stack-ups to ensure robust and reliable designs.
