Job summary

GKN Aerospace Sweden is seeking a Materials Engineer in Trollhättan to support the material verification and testing of additively manufactured components. You will work with customers and internal stakeholders to define appropriate verification plans and ensure delivery against scope, timing, and quality targets.

In this role you will collaborate with Material Application Engineers, Process Verification Engineers and other specialists to drive robust material data handling, understand defect

Qualifications

• Master or Bachelor degree in materials engineering.
• Experience in additive manufacturing processes and materials.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• Good communication skills.
• Fluent in English, spoken and written.
• Experience in handling and documenting technical data and technical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Act as focal point for material verification activities within projects.
• Define material verification and testing plans with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Drive and coordinate material verification activities through project execution.
• Support process verification plans and cut-up plans for AM-produced items.
• Evaluate material acceptance data from serial production to understand process variations.
