Job summary

Hästens Sängar AB in Köping, Sweden, is seeking an Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting for Swedish entities, retail operations and real estate, in collaboration with a team of accountants.

You will handle reconciliations, intercompany balances, VAT and tax filings, year-end close, and support audits, with a focus on accurate records and process improvement in a hybrid work setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• At least 3 years of accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Experience with Swedish GAAP, preferably K3.
• Experience working with multiple legal entities is an advantage.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Swedish.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bank, balance sheet and other account reconciliations and follow up on outstanding items.
• Manage group billing and reconcile intercompany balances with counterparties.
• Prepare payment proposals and support cash control activities.
• Process and follow up supplier invoices, including coding and approval workflows.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting schedules within the closing timetable.
• Contribute to the preparation of annual financial statements and statutory accounts.
• Prepare VAT returns and other tax filings.
• Assist with external statutory audits.
• Ensure compliance with finance and statutory filing requirements.
• Participate in process improvement projects and initiatives.
• Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analyses for management.
• Liaise with colleagues, suppliers, auditors and external advisers on accounting matters.
• Work cross-functionally with Hästens colleagues and managers across the EU, UK and US.

As Accountant, you will perform the day-to-day accounting for our Swedish Hästens companies, including retail operations and real estate, together with our team of accountants and specialists. • Experience with Swedish GAAP, preferably K3
• Experience working with multiple legal entities is an advantage
• Good Excel skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Swedish
