Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia is seeking an Electrical Engineer to manage the installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience in industrial environments, preferably in desalination or power plants. Job description
Electrical Responsibilities:
  • Install, test, and maintain electrical equipment, transformers, switchgears, control panels, motors, HV/LV cables, and VFDs.
  • Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems (LV panels, MCCs, lighting circuits).
  • Troubleshoot and repair motor control circuits, protection relays, and contactors.
  • Inspect and maintain earthing and lightning protection systems.
  • Ensure compliance with Saudi Electricity Company (SEC), Maaden, Aramco standards and site safety procedures.
  • Maintain electrical drawings and documentation.
Automation & Instrumentation Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and calibrate sensors, transmitters, and instrumentation (pressure, flow, level, conductivity, etc.).
  • Support PLC and control panel maintenance and modification.
  • Diagnose faults in control logic, PLC I/O cards, relays, and VFD controls.
  • Work with automation engineers to optimize process control loops and alarms.
  • Lead commissioning new automation systems or upgrades.
  • Maintain communication networks between PLC panels, HMIs, and field devices.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Diploma / ITI / B.Tech in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in industrial or utility plants (preferably RO desalination, wastewater, or power plants).
  • Hands‑on experience in automation and electrical systems integration.
  • Valid Saudi / GCC driving license (preferred).
  • Transferable IQAMA is a Must

Skills
Preferred Knowledge:
  • Familiar with PLC programming basics and HMI operations.

  • Follow all electrical safety procedures and permit‑to‑work systems.
  • Ensure proper isolation, grounding, and tagging before work.
  • Participate in safety toolbox talks and incident reporting.
