A leading engineering company in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Civil Engineer to provide technical support for construction activities on site. Responsibilities include coordinating between engineering and construction teams, ensuring design execution, and managing technical responses to site queries. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, strong interpretative skills, and over 5 years of relevant experience. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment on significant EPC projects.

- 5+ years of experience in engineering and design of plants.

- Provide technical support for construction and commissioning activities.
- Control and communicate design changes based on site conditions.
- Enable communication between engineering and construction teams.
- Provide feedback to engineering teams on design execution.
- Review and approve subcontractors' material submittals.
- Control the release of IFC drawings based on site conditions.

Provide technical support for the construction, installation, testing and commissioning activities on site. Coordinate between engineering/design team in office and construction/commissioning teams in the site to answer all engineering-related clarifications from the site and provide site feedback to the engineering team.
- Technical support for site activities (construction, installation, testing and commissioning) from engineering/design perspective. Represent the engineering department on site.
- Control and communicate design changes based on site conditions.
- Enable and control two-way communication between engineering team in the office and construction/commissioning teams on site.
- Provide timely, clear and comprehensive technical answers to RFIs on site in coordination with the responsible engineers in the office.
- Provide timely, clear and comprehensive feedback to the engineering teams on their design from construction/commissioning perspective.
- Prepare engineering/design sketches or details to support site activities in coordination with engineering teams in office.
- Control the release of IFC drawings/documents based on site conditions.
- Integrate and control Red-marked As-built drawings/documents and provide necessary support for the engineering team to prepare the final As-built version for all engineering deliverables to the site based on red-marked drawings from the construction team.
- Review and approve sub-contractors material submittal.
- Issue Purchase request for Engineered material on site, if required.
- Ensure consistency between design and execution on site.
- Highlight scope and/or design changes (data for claims).
- Follow company and engineering department procedures and workflow.
- Participate and provide necessary input to build and enrich company's lesson learned and knowledge database.
- Bachelor degree of civil engineering.
- Strong background in the interpretation of engineering drawings/specifications
- Ability to interpret most current design codes.
- Strong experience in engineering and design of Plants (Power, Oil&Gas, Chemical, Industrial Plant) on EPC contract basis.
- Working knowledge and ability to use engineering software to support site activities.
- Cost and time schedule awareness.
- Experience from +5 years.
