Job summary

A reputable construction firm in Al Khobar is seeking a Welding QC Inspector. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of experience and must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering along with relevant certifications. Responsibilities include inspecting welding activities for compliance, performing NDT tests, and managing quality records. The role requires working closely with project teams to ensure adherence to specified standards, particularly Saudi Aramco requirements. Candidates with prior experience on Aramco projects will be preferred.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of experience as a Welding QC Inspector.
  • Saudi Aramco Approval with valid SAP Number and CBT Qualification.
  • Prior experience working on Aramco projects (preferred).

  • Verify qualifications, consumables, and equipment calibration.

Overview

The Welding QC Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all welding activities comply with project specifications, Saudi Aramco standards, applicable international codes, and quality requirements. The role involves inspection, testing, documentation, and coordination with project teams to maintain the highest standards of welding quality and safety. Experience: 7-11 years.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect and monitor welding activities to ensure compliance with approved WPS, ITPs, drawings, and codes.
  • Perform and witness NDT activities including RT, UT, MT, and PT (Level II).
  • Verify welder qualifications, welding consumables, and equipment calibration.
  • Ensure adherence to Saudi Aramco standards, procedures, and CBT requirements.
  • Review and maintain quality records, inspection reports, and welding documentation.
  • Identify non-conformances and support corrective and preventive actions.
  • Coordinate with construction, engineering, and QA/QC teams to resolve welding issues.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems.
  • Participate in audits, inspections, and quality reviews as required.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 7 years of experience as a Welding QC Inspector.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Saudi Aramco Approval with valid SAP Number and CBT Qualification.
  • Valid Welding Certifications: AWS and/or CSWIP.
