Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Welder or similar role.
• Experience with TIG, MIG, and Arc welding techniques.

• Knowledge of different types of metals and their properties.
• Strong attention to detail and precision when working with small parts.
• Physical stamina and strength for standing, bending, lifting heavy objects for extended periods.
• Good hand-eye coordination.
• Possess good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine the layout of metal components
• Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using rulers, gauges or templates
• Use specialized equipment such as saws, shears or plasma cutters to cut metal into specific shapes
• Align components using jigs or fixtures before welding
• Use various welding techniques such as TIG, MIG or Arc welding to join metal parts together
• Inspect welded surfaces and structures to ensure they meet quality standards
• Repair any defective welds as needed
• Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate protective gear while working
