Job summary

The BINDAWOOD organization is seeking a Security and Safety Supervisor to advise on safety and security at its warehouse stores in Medina. You will implement safeguards for assets, personnel, training, and visitors, and address safety concerns with management to reduce risks.

You will lead safety programs, audit inspections, enforce local regulations, manage the security budget, and coordinate emergency plans and drills across all sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe working environment adhering to Health, Safety and Environmental procedures and ensuring they are understood and practiced by the team
• Ensure security of Warehouse environment and maintain access control
• Audit monthly warehouse inspections and follow up to correct safety discrepancies
• Audit accident, loss and theft reports, analyze trends and investigations
• Identify preventative measures and present recommendations to senior management
• Manage the security budget and ensure systems are maintained and operational
• Develop and maintain knowledge of warehouse operations and procedures for receiving, stocking, inventory control, order picking and shipping
• Coordinate emergency action plans and regular evacuation drills
• Provide training to staff and ensure disciplinary actions are taken as needed
• Perform other safety and security related duties as required

Candidate Profile

The Security amp Safety Supervisor acts as an advisor regarding safety and security at the warehouse stores By implementing the appropriate safeguards tools for the protection of company assets personnel training product and visitors The Supervisor is responsible for addressing safety and security concerns with the management identifying of key risks developing safe working practices the key safety behavior and the scorecard for success

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe working environment adhering to Health Safety and Environmental procedures and ensuring they are always understood and practiced by the team
• Ensure security of Warehouse environment and always maintain access control
• Review and track progress of the Safety Star Program as well as the Corporate Security Program to ensure compliance and proper documentation
• Audit monthly warehouse inspections document findings and follow up to ensure that actions are taken to correct safety-related discrepancies
• Audit selective accident loss and theft reports analyze trends and supervisor investigations
• Identify preventative measures present recommendations to senior management and implement corrective action plans
• Delegates tasks and assigns workload to team leaders where applicable to ensure optimum and full control over staff productivity
• Ensure that warehouse meets local safety regulations and security policies
• Maintain disciplinary action log of those associates that violate these standards
• Implement emergency action plans and schedule regular emergency evacuation drills
• Administer all aspects of drug alcohol testing program random post-injury post-accident
• Develop and maintain a working knowledge of warehouse operations and the procedures for receiving stocking inventory control order picking and shipping
• Develop go-to contacts in each operational group for security related issues
• Manage the security budget and ensure that systems are maintained and operational and that necessary security coverage is provided
• Carrying out supervisory and management functions and responsibilities including Training of new staff daily site inspections maintaining compliance and discipline of site staff performance of staff evaluations on a regular basis
• All other safety and security related duties and responsibilities that may be required
• Perform any other related duties as required
