Visual Merchandize Designer / Graphic Designer / Interior Designer
Key duties and responsibilities are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature as follows:
- Design different types of layouts & illustrations, posters and advertisements
- Work on multitasks at the same time using a wide range of media, including photography and multimedia
- Design Plano-grams and visual merchandise for different products, campaigns and promotions
- Apply awareness of printing techniques, types of paper or canvas (size, weight) and display options (light box, interactive display), cutting and finalizing prints for display
- Use graphic animation, video editing, and create media presentations using different software
- Produce visual solutions to communication needs using a mix of creative skills and commercial awareness
- Stay aware of current fashions in the visual arts, have a working knowledge of the latest computer packages, and understand material costs and time limits that can impact design
Ability to:
Work with team and managers to interpret and translate their needs into concepts, develop and translate into effective communication materials; plan, coordinate and organize projects and production processes to ensure timely, cost‑effective completion; conceive, plan, produce and create files or artwork; work under pressure to meet deadlines; follow and give oral and written directions.
Knowledge of:
- Principles, practices and techniques of digital art, graphic design, layout and illustration
- Operation of personal computer and current graphics software programs
- Principles and techniques of typesetting, color theory, digital printing, photography and printing processes
- Retail visual practices, visual merchandise and promotional campaigns
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Art and design from an accredited university (or Interior Design).
Experience:
- Mid or Senior level graphic design experience (minimum of 3 years)
- Experience of working with retail
