Job summary

Webook is seeking a Usability Engineer to apply human factors and cognitive psychology to improve product experiences. You will lead usability studies, analyze results and translate findings into actionable design improvements.

You will collaborate with designers, developers and product managers, create testing protocols, and advocate for inclusive design and accessibility. 2–4 years of experience and relevant degrees are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Human Factors, Cognitive Science, HCI, Psychology, or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in usability engineering, UX research, or similar roles.
• Strong foundation in usability principles and testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with WCAG accessibility guidelines and inclusive design.
• Experience documenting research and presenting findings to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Plan, conduct, and analyze formative and summative usability studies, including moderated and unmoderated tests.
• Perform heuristic evaluations, cognitive walkthroughs, and accessibility assessments.
• Collaborate with designers, developers, and product managers to improve UX based on findings.
• Create and maintain usability testing protocols, documentation, and repositories.
• Define and measure usability KPIs (task success rate, error rate, time on task).
• Advocate for evidence-based design decisions and usability best practices across teams.
• Support the development of design systems and product guidelines with usability input.
• Train and mentor cross-functional teams on usability principles and tools.
