Job summary

SAB is seeking an experienced corporate banking professional to work closely with Relationship Managers to progress lending proposals. You will coordinate DPCs, assist with credit assessments, and present proposals to WCR, aiming to maximize lending potential and overall profitability.

You will stay close to the lending pipeline, progress opportunities through approvals, and collaborate with the coverage team to improve credit decisioning turnaround time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or related field.
• 3-5 years of corporate banking experience as RM/ARM or in financial services.
• Experience coordinating lending proposals and approvals with credit policy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate DPCs and issue DPC decisions with RMs.
• Assist RMs to finalize credit assessments and present proposals to WCR.
• Recommend strategies to maximize lending share of wallet and profitability.
• Monitor lending pipeline and assist RMs to progress opportunities through approval and drawdown stages.
• Improve CARM quality and reduce resubmission rates with WCR through timely credit decisions.

Job description

• Work closely with RMs to progress lending proposals. This includes:
• Coordinating DPCs and issuing DPC decisions
• Working closely with RMs to finalize credit assessments, obtain the business endorsements required by credit policy, and present proposals to WCR in a format and quality standard where they gain credit-approval.
• Make recommendations to RMs for ways to maximize relationship potentials such as lending share of wallet, utilization levels, ancillary business and lending structure, to maximize CIB revenues, profitability and returns.
• Being very close to the lending pipeline and help RMs to progress lending opportunities quickly, and follow‑up on key deals at each stage through approval and drawdowns, sharing updates with GMs as required.
• Regular interaction with coverage team and WCR to achieve improvement in CARM quality, reduction in CARM resubmission rates from WCR and improve the overall credit decisioning turnaround time

Qualification and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or a related field.
• Around 3-5 years of experience in Corporate banking as Relationship Manger/Assistant Relationship Manger or financial services.
