Job summary

Medtronic invites applications for a Training and Education Intern in the Diabetes team. Start date 1 December 2026, for six months, 40h/week, onsite. Based in Taif with potential coverage in Bisha, Al Qunfudhah and Makkah.

You will educate doctors, nurses and patients on diabetes management, support onboarding sessions, and assist the logistics team during deliveries while traveling locally.

Qualifications

• Currently in final year or recently graduated in healthcare-related field.
• Arabic fluent and English at least B1 with strong communication.
• Proficient in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint).
• Excellent organizational abilities with a customer-focused mindset.
• Willing to learn and grow professionally.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient and clinician education on diabetes management and Medtronic products.
• Participate in onboarding sessions and educational campaigns to raise diabetes awareness.
• Assist logistics and manage inventory in hospitals; ensure timely replenishment of items.

Medtronic announced its intention to separate the Diabetes division to promote future growth and innovation within the business and to reallocate investments and resources across Medtronic. The Diabetes division, now known as MiniMed, completed its IPO in March 2026. While you will start your employment with Medtronic, upon completion of required local legal and employment processes, we expect your employment to transfer to MiniMed, subject to business needs and any applicable information and consultation requirements in your jurisdiction.

Internship details:

• Start date: 1st December 2026

• Duration: 6 months

• Working hours: 40h/week with flexibility (exams and holiday period)

• Working model: onsite

• Based in Taif (but could cover Bisha, Al Qunfudhah & Makkah if needed)

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

• Provide support and education to doctors, nurses, and patients on diabetes management and our products, addressing their questions and needs.

• Participate in patient onboarding sessions and educational campaigns to improve diabetes awareness and care.

• Manage consignment inventory in hospitals and ensure timely replenishment of used items.

• Assist the logistics team during deliveries to ensure smooth operations.

• Travel within the local region to extend education and support efforts.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

• Currently in the final year of studies or recently graduated with a degree in healthcare, nutrition, health education, or a related field

• Fluent in Arabic and at least intermediate (B1) level in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills

• Proficient in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Sharepoint)

• Excellent organizational abilities with a customer-focused mindset

• Eager to learn, develop, and grow professionally

Would be a plus:

• Experience working with patients

• Interest in Diabetes. Additional training or certifications in diabetes care are a strong plus.

• Driving license
