Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. in Saudi Arabia seeks an Electrical Engineer to perform assembly, repair and routine tests on GIS bays, ensure quality, and follow work instructions.

The role requires a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, 2–3 years in lab or testing, strong analytical and communication skills, and fluent English. You will contribute to Lean improvements and maintain a safe, compliant work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required.
• 2-3 years' experience in laboratory or testing activities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Reading and understanding technical drawings and material lists.
• Excellent verbal and written communications and ability to interact professionally with a diverse group.
• Fluent in English (speaking and writing).

Responsibilities

• Perform Assembly, repair and routine tests (Mechanical, 10KV, HV, functional & resistance measurements) of GIS bays according to work instructions, drawings, BOMs, checklists and guidelines.
• Fulfill orders related to work packages according to production data and instructions.
• Self-check of work packages results, filling out and confirming on assigned checklists and protocols.
• Target best performance in quality, cost, and delivery time.
• Quality control and immediate escalation of quality issues; record deviations and support root cause analysis.
• Support gathering product improvement feedback from GIS LSC engineers.
• Collaborate with internal customers/stakeholders and colleagues (assembly, testing, logistics).
• Follow factory safety, quality, environment, and housekeeping guidelines.
• Maintain safe working environment by complying with Hitachi Energy HSE guidelines.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and Lean culture.

Performs routine tests through a lean & flow production line with outstanding performance.Thatis targeting the best quality, maximum costsaving,and shortest delivery time. Control the quality ofGIS/MaintainTest Report Database. Contribute actively to improving manufacturingprocesses. Maintaina safeand clean work environment.

Howyou’llmake an impact

Perform Assembly,repairand routine tests (Mechanical, 10KV, HV, functional & resistance measurements) of GIS bays (including components & modules) according to the prepared workinstructions, drawings, bill of materials, checklists,guidelinesand customer order data.

Fulfill orders relatedto workpackages according to production data and instructions.

Self-check of workpackagesresults, filling out andconfirmingon assigned checklists and Protocols.

Target the best performance intermsof quality,cost,and delivery time.

Quality control and immediate escalation of Quality issues. Record deviation, support root cause of failure and write qualityproblems/ non-conformance reports.

Supportforgathering product improvement comment/feedback from the GIS LSC (local Service Center) engineers.

Actively support teamwork, effectivelycommunicateand collaborate with internal customer/stakeholder/colleagues(assembly, testing,logistics...etc).

Independently follow the factory rules & guidelines related to safety, quality,environment,recyclingandhousekeeping.

Maintaina safeworking environment by following Hitachi Energy-HSEguidelinesand reporting of anyirregularities tosuperiors.

Contribute actively tocontinuedimprovement process and Lean culture.

Providing feedback, sharingideas,and observations whenever possible.
