Job summary

Zahid Industries in Jeddah seeks a Technician to maintain equipment, disassemble/assemble components, and perform PDI and TA1 on Caterpillar equipment. You will follow service literature, complete paperwork, and coordinate with the Service Supervisor/Branch Manager to ensure timely, safe service delivery.

The role requires a Technical High School diploma or equivalent, knowledge of diesel engine and machine systems, and at least 2 years of heavy equipment repair experience.

Qualifications

• Technical High School or Diploma is required.
• Knowledge of Diesel Engine Systems Fundamentals is essential.
• Experience with heavy equipment repair is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the equipment sold and serviced by the company.
• Disassemble and assemble components following service literature.
• Perform predelivery inspection (PDI) and Technical Analysis Level 1 (TA1) on Caterpillar equipment.
• Complete work orders and warranty paperwork accurately.
• Establish communication with the supervisor/branch manager about assigned work orders.
• Conduct safety assessments before and during the job.

Job description

The Technician report directly to the Service Supervisor/Branch Manager. The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Responsible for the maintenance of the equipment sold and serviced by the company. The Technician is capable of disassemble and assemble of machine/engine/marine components by following the appropriate service literature; performing predelivery inspection (PDI) and Technical Analysis Level 1 (TA1) on the Caterpillar equipment safely and efficient

Key Accountabilities

• Must be able to meet all the requirements of a Technician Trainee/Talent Pool as well as work effectively with less supervision
• Ensure that work assignments are completed according to the time requirement guidelines
• The technician is capable of removal, installing, disassemble and assemble components by following the appropriate service literature. Such components include by are not limited to: fuel systems, turbochargers, water pumps, air compressors, hydraulic pumps, hydraulic cylinders, engines, transmissions, and torque converters
• Perform predelivery inspection (PDI) and Technical Analysis Level 1 safely and efficient
• Ability to install attachments sold and serviced by the company
• Comply with routine reporting requirements by completing appropriate paperwork regarding workassignments, such as work orders, warranty paperwork and tracking of equipment time, etc
• Establishes and maintains communications with the branch supervisor/shop managers regarding assigned work orders and pertinent details regarding those work orders
• Conduct a safety assessment before and during doing the job, organizing the workstation and removing unsafe conditions.
• Works compatibly with other personnel of the Company, and able to understand and properly execute instructions given
• Give assistance to other department personnel as required
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Service Supervisor/Manager, may be assigned to specialize in specific areas

Knowledge, Skills and Aptitude

Educational Qualifications and Certifications: Technical High School or Diploma

Knowledge: Diesel Engine Systems Fundamentals.Machine Systems Fundamentals.Competent for foundational level technician assessment

Technical Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.Ability to write simple correspondence.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Language Skills: English Language and Arabic is an advantage.

Experience: 2 Year minimum have experience on the heavy equipment repair and services
