Job summary

Leading Saudi contractor in Riyadh seeks a Technical Projects Manager to drive technical delivery across large-scale residential initiatives. You will coordinate design, engineering, BIM, procurement, planning and construction teams to ensure alignment with approved designs and schedules.

Requirements include a civil engineering degree and 10–15 years in technical management for major projects in Saudi Arabia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 10–15 years of technical management or project tech management in large-scale construction.
• Experience with residential, hospitality, mixed-use, or large-scale developments in Saudi Arabia.
• Strong knowledge of multidisciplinary coordination and engineering management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all technical and engineering activities across multiple projects throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee development, review, and coordination of designs, drawings, specs, calculations and submissions.
• Coordinate with consultants, architects, structural, MEP, BIM, construction, procurement and planning teams.
• Review design packages, shop drawings, method statements, submittals and proposals for compliance.
• Manage technical coordination between design consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and site teams.
• Identify and resolve technical issues, constructability challenges and coordination problems.
• Ensure deliverables and submissions meet schedules, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
• Monitor progress and provide updates on risks, delays and design changes.
• Lead technical meetings, coordination workshops and reviews with stakeholders.
• Support constructability reviews, value engineering and design changes.

Key Accountabilities

• The position involves Lead and manage all technical and engineering activities across multiple projects throughout the project lifecycle
• Oversee the development review and coordination of designs technical drawings specifications calculations and technical submissions
• Coordinate with consultants architects structural MEP BIM construction procurement and planning teams to ensure fully integrated project delivery
• Review design packages shop drawings method statements material submittents technical proposals and other project documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements
• Manage technical coordination between design consultants subcontractors suppliers and project site teams
• Identify review and resolve technical issues design conflicts constructability challenges and interdisciplinary coordination issues
• Ensure technical deliverables and design submissions are completed accurately and within agreed project schedules and milestones
• Monitor technical progress and provide regular updates to project management highlighting risks delays design changes and required actions
• Lead technical meetings design coordination meetings workshops and technical reviews with internal and external stakeholders
• Review and validate design changes variations RFIs technical queries and proposed engineering solutions
• Support constructability reviews and value engineering initiatives to optimize design cost quality and construction efficiency
• Ensure compliance with relevant Saudi codes authority requirements project specifications and international engineering standards
• Coordinate with planning and project controls teams to ensure technical activities are aligned with overall project schedules and construction sequencing
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to engineers technical teams and project stakeholders
• Monitor the performance and technical deliverables of consultants subcontractors and engineering service providers
• Ensure proper document control technical records approvals and as-built documentation throughout the project lifecycle
• Support testing commissioning snagging handover and project close-out activities from a technical perspective

Qualifications

• Bachelor s Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or a related engineering field .
• Minimum 10 15 years of experience in technical management, engineering, design coordination, or project technical management within large-scale construction projects.
• Previous experience in residential, hospitality, mixed-use, or large-scale development projects is required.
• Strong background in technical project management, multidisciplinary design coordination, and engineering management .
• Experience working with main contractors, developers, engineering consultants, or leading construction companies in Saudi Arabia .
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, engineering standards, design development, technical documentation, and site execution requirements.
• Strong understanding of multidisciplinary coordination across Civil, Structural, Architectural, MEP, and BIM disciplines .
• Experience managing consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and technical/project teams.
• Familiarity with project planning, scheduling, cost control, risk management, and construction management processes .
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, BIM/technical coordination platforms , and relevant project management tools.
• Strong experience with technical submissions, RFIs, design changes, variations, value engineering, and constructability reviews .
• Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication, coordination, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple technical workstreams and projects in a fast-paced environment and deliver within tight deadlines.
• Strong ability to coordinate between technical/design teams and site/construction teams to ensure practical and timely project delivery.
