Overview

A global technology and consulting services provider supporting major financial institutions across the region. The organization is seeking a Technical Project Manager – Banking IT Operations to lead complex IT infrastructure, security, and operations initiatives within a highly regulated banking environment. The role will work closely with engineering teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of mission‑critical projects.

Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Execution

• Lead end-to-end delivery of IT infrastructure and operations projects within the banking environment.
• Develop detailed project plans, technical work breakdown structures, and dependency maps.
• Oversee scope, schedules, risks, budgets, and resources across multiple concurrent workstreams.
• Manage upgrades, migrations, and deployments with minimal business disruption following structured change management.
• Ensure projects comply with architectural, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements.
• Implement standardized project delivery frameworks to improve operational consistency.

Technical Delivery Management

• Oversee workstreams involving collaboration platform upgrades, security control implementation, observability solutions, and cloud operations.
• Manage initiatives across servers, networks, storage, virtualization, and disaster recovery/continuity environments.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

• Manage vendors and external service partners ensuring contractual and SLA compliance.
• Provide clear project reporting, risk updates, and audit responses to leadership and governance forums.
• Coordinate across infrastructure, cloud, networking, application, and security teams.

Risk, Compliance & Governance

• Enforce adherence to IT risk management, cybersecurity frameworks, and internal/external regulatory standards.
• Maintain project documentation, approvals, compliance evidence, and audit-ready artifacts.

Qualifications & Skills

Professional Experience

• 5–10+ years of IT project management experience, ideally within banking or financial services.
• Strong background in infrastructure, cloud, and cybersecurity delivery.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex technical initiatives simultaneously.

Technical Competencies

• Strong knowledge of enterprise collaboration systems, identity platforms, and directory services.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), and observability technologies.
• Familiarity with IT security controls, compliance standards, and virtualization platforms.
• Knowledge of ITSM processes aligned with ITIL.

Project Management Competencies

• Expertise in project planning, RAID logs, governance reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
• Proficiency in project delivery tools (e.g., MS Project, Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence).
• Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile methodologies are preferred.

Soft Skills

• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Capable of translating complex technical information for executive stakeholders.
• High ownership, analytical capability, and comfort working under pressure.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• Master’s degree is a plus.
