Job summary

DAR AL RIYADH is seeking a Technical Design Department Manager to lead the Design Office operations across Riyadh, Khobar, Egypt and the Philippines. You will coordinate Discipline Heads, ensure timely delivery, and drive BIM and digital engineering initiatives.

Ideal candidates have 20+ years in multidisciplinary engineering design, with 8–10 years in leadership of large design offices, and strong stakeholder management and delivery skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Architecture; Master’s preferred.
• Over 20 years in multidisciplinary engineering design consultancy.
• Minimum 8–10 years in a leadership role managing large Design Offices.

Responsibilities

• Manage the overall operations of the Design Office across all regional offices.
• Coordinate and integrate the work of all Discipline Heads.
• Ensure timely delivery of design projects in line with quality, budget and schedule requirements.
• Monitor resource utilization and optimize workload distribution across offices.
• Establish and enforce engineering standards, design procedures and QA/QC processes.
• Lead multidisciplinary design coordination meetings and resolve technical issues.
• Drive continuous improvement, digital engineering and BIM initiatives.
• Prepare management reports, resource forecasts and dashboards for senior leadership.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Architecture (Master's degree preferred). 20+ years of experience in multidisciplinary engineering design consultancy. Minimum 8 10 years in a leadership role managing large Design Offices. Proven experience coordinating multiple engineering disciplines and international design teams. Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and project delivery skills.
