Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Gather business needs; oversee database development, design reviews, and capacity planning.
• Perform daily operations; maintain optimal system performance and automate where feasible.
• Train junior staff and provide guidance to ensure efficient workflow.

Purpose of Job

Jobholders at this level are experienced professionals capable of conducting work with general directions They are primarily concerned with developing solutions to challenges which require some analysis to understand and resolve and addressing issues escalated from junior levels They undertake complex operational activities including drafting ZATCA IT systems and database operations guidelines and standards Leading the installation configuration and upgrades of software hardware operating systems and processes as planned Supervising the implementation of operations and security patches as well as vendors release notes Troubleshooting and identifying root causes providing technical support for complex incidents and tickets Monitoring ZATCA systems and applications on a daily basis to ensure proper operation and provide recommendations to be taken to relevant stakeholders

Job Resposiblites

Assess current ZATCA systems and database operational model identify gaps and challenges to define IT systems and database operations areas of improvement and stay abreast of the latest trends and standardsGather business needs oversee the development of databases design review and finalize database capacity plans to ensure that all projects are aligned with set plansCollect needed operational inputs perform daily operations of ZATCA systems and databases to maintain the best operational performanceOversee all daily work activities of systems and database operations assess the feasibility of automation to build scripts automating the daily operations of when possibleDevelop maintenance implementation plans based on technical needs and implement the necessary maintenance activities in coordination with all relevant stakeholders to maintain optimal system performanceHelp in solving escalated problems and provide needed support for junior team to ensure work is carried out in an efficient manner nbsp Escalate complex problems to the relevant person to ensure cases issues are closed properlyTrain junior staff on the different job activities to ensure transfer of know-how when applicable nbsp Provide clear direction prioritize tasks assign and delegate responsibility and monitor the workflow of subordinates junior staffSupport junior staff or direct reports in order to execute their duties according to set policies and processes
