Job summary

Al Qadisiyah is seeking a Systems Administrator to manage and support the organization’s IT infrastructure across servers, networks, cloud systems and end-user platforms.

The role demands strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills and the ability to juggle multiple systems in a dynamic environment. A bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years’ related experience are expected, with certification goals in MCSE/CCNA appreciated.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years in a Systems Administrator or similar IT role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs), and security principles.
• Hands-on experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper‑V) and backup/disaster recovery.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Windows Server environments to ensure continuous availability.
• Configure and administer Active Directory including DNS, DHCP and Group Policy.
• Monitor server performance, apply security updates and patches.
• Manage user accounts, groups, permissions and access rights.
• Administer File Server, Print Server, IIS and WSUS; schedule backups and DR testing.
• Plan and implement backup and restore policies; monitor logs and events.
• Configure and monitor Hyper-V or VMware virtual servers; manage virtualization resources.
• Integrate Microsoft 365 Exchange Online with AD; monitor mail flow and security.
• Monitor system logs and troubleshoot issues; apply cybersecurity standards (NCA, NIST).
• Renew and manage SSL certificates; provide advanced technical support to IT staff and end users.
• Document all system configurations and procedures accurately.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Windows Server 2016 2019 2022 to ensure continuous availability


• Configure and administer Active Directory including DNS DHCP and Group Policy


• Monitor server performance apply security updates and patches


• Manage user accounts groups permissions and access rights


• Administer File Server Print Server IIS and WSUS


• Plan and implement backup and restore policies


• Configure and monitor Hyper-V or VMware virtual servers


• Manage Microsoft 365 Exchange Online integration with Active Directory

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a Systems Administrator or similar IT role.Skills:Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs), and security principles.Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper‑V).Hands‑on experience with backup solutions and disaster recovery planning.Familiarity with cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).Relevant certifications such as MCSE, CCNA, CompTIA Server+, or Azure Administrator are preferred.Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.High attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Proactive attitude toward system improvements and automation.
