Job summary

KFSH&RC invites applications for the Admin (Sec)-R/ Social Services (Dpt)-R role. The incumbent supervises the daily operations and programmes of the Social Services department, coordinating staff schedules, allocating tasks, and ensuring services meet patient needs and department goals.

Responsibilities include managing charity funds for patient assistance, designing orientation for social workers, maintaining policy knowledge, ensuring documentation and ICIS records, and supervising morgue and

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, or other related disciplines is required.
• Three (3) years of rated experience with Master’s, or five (5) years with Bachelor’s Degree is required.
• Saudi Nationals only. Current Registration from Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates daily operations of Social Workers. Establishes schedules and assigns work.
• Provides input to Department Head regarding performance of Social Workers.
• Manages charity fund as assigned, disburse financial assistance to patients as per eligibility criteria. Prepare disbursement reports.
• Designs orientation programme and competency check list for the new Social Workers. Supervise their performance and progress, oversees the Social Workers Interns activities in coordination with the concerned University Supervisor.
• Maintains information regarding the Hospital policies and procedures and ensures that Social Workers are aware of these and any changes. Revises, develops, recommends and implements new or existing departmental policies and procedures.
• Ensures effective communication with patient care team, other concerned staff and Social Workers to ensure awareness of departmental services and programmes.
• Recommends action for corrections and improvements of departmental activities.
• Reviews the approved caseload studies, case plans and referrals to outside resources. Reviews caseload of Social Workers and ensures adequate documentation and follow-up recording in social files of the patients. & in the ICIS.
• Supervise the daily operation of the morgue as assigned. Ensure morgue staff adherence to CBAHI standards and related KFSH&RC policies & procedures.
• Supervise daily operation of the patient Hospitality building. Submit monthly statistic to the Department Head.
• Provides information to Social Workers regarding availability of community based support organizations and encourages utilization of these resources.
• Supervise the performance of the recreational therapist, ensure adequate coverage in the play room and quality recreational activities, and ensure availability of recreational and educational items & materials in the playroom

Education
