Job summary

Job Purpose

The Dive Operations Supervisor is a senior, site-based operational role responsible for overseeing and supporting all dive operations and underwater tourism activities within the assigned asset. Reporting to the Dive Operations Manager, the role plays a critical part in ensuring the safe, professional, and efficient delivery of diving services in line with international standards, regulatory requirements, and GALAXEA’s strategic objectives.

The position supports the Dive Operations Manager in the day-to-day management of dive center operations, instructional programs, staff supervision, guest experience, and commercial performance. As the Senior Instructor on site, the Dive Operations Supervisor acts as a role model for operational excellence, safety leadership, and service quality, while ensuring alignment with sensitive environmental considerations and high-profile marine conservation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
General Operations

Report directly to the Dive Operations Manager and support the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of the dive center within the designated asset.

Act as the on-site senior operational authority in the absence of the Dive Operations Manager.

Support the development, setup, and operational readiness of dive centers across other RSSE/GALAXEA assets as required.

Assist in supervising, mentoring, and performance-managing the dive operations team, including instructors, divemasters, and operational staff.

Ensure alignment with GALAXEA, RSSE, and RSG environmental, sustainability, and regulatory requirements related to marine life and underwater tourism.

Coordinate with internal stakeholders and work remotely when required, with site and office visits as operationally necessary.

Establishment of Dive Center
Pre-Opening Phase

Work closely with the Dive Operations Manager to support the planning, development, and delivery of the dive center infrastructure, equipment, and operational systems.

Collaborate with relevant RSG departments during the delivery phase to ensure timelines, operational readiness, safety standards, and design objectives are achieved.

Contribute to the development of operational procedures, risk assessments, and emergency response plans prior to opening.

Post-Opening Phase

Support the Dive Operations Manager in maintaining the highest operational and safety standards across all diving activities.

Supervise daily dive operations, ensuring all activities are conducted safely, professionally, and in compliance with PADI standards and local regulations.

Oversee the delivery of all dive training programs, ensuring instructors adhere strictly to training agency standards and conservative safety practices.

Ensure accurate, up-to-date records are maintained for certifications, dive logs, equipment servicing, incident reporting, and compliance documentation.

Support dive-related sales, retail operations, and guest engagement to enhance commercial performance and guest satisfaction.

Build and maintain strong working relationships with management, colleagues, guests, and external partners.

Implement and comply with all approved company policies, standard operating procedures, and functional guidelines to ensure operational consistency and control.

Support internal audits, inspections, and compliance reviews related to dive operations and safety.

Safety, Quality & Environment

Ensure safety is the highest operational priority at all times for guests, staff, and marine environments.

Apply safety, quality, and environmental management systems to ensure compliance with legislation, international best practices, and GALAXEA sustainability commitments.

Promote responsible marine tourism and environmental stewardship across all dive activities.

Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in operational processes, service delivery, safety performance, and cost efficiency.

Contribute to innovation and best-practice initiatives aligned with global dive industry standards and luxury destination expectations.

Job Requirements
Qualifications & Experience

Active and renewed PADI Instructor certification.

Instructor rating in minimum five (5) PADI specialties.

Minimum 500 logged dives across multiple geographic locations.

Certified at least 50 students across core PADI courses.

Demonstrated experience in dive center operations and dive business management.

Strong background in hospitality and high-end guest services.

Proven experience in dive safety management, equipment oversight, and retail operations.

Marine conservation awareness and operational experience.

Valid Fit-to-Dive medical certification.

Excellent written and spoken English.

Strong leadership, communication, and public-speaking abilities.

Exceptional customer service mindset with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.

Ability to manage high-end clientele and handle guest feedback professionally.

Strong organizational, time-management, and attention-to-detail skills.
