Job summary

Namerah Co. for Steelworks in Riyadh is seeking a steel structures engineer who can perform real design work and understand how to implement it in a workshop.

This is a fabrication-side role focusing on steel structures, not concrete design offices or site supervision. The successful candidate will design steel members and connections, review shop drawings, prepare material lists, and support tender pricing while ensuring compliance with AISC/Eurocode 3 standards and QA/QC requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience in structural steel design and/or fabrication (PEB, heavy steel structures, industrial steelwork)
• Proficiency in STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, or ETABS for steel structures
• Proficiency in Tekla Structures or equivalent detailing software
• Proficiency in IdeaStatica and designing connections
• Solid knowledge of AISC, Eurocode 3, or SBC 306 steel provisions
• Strong knowledge of steel connection design and welding and bolting requirements
• Good written English for technical submissions
• Experience with estimating or tender preparation in a fabrication company
• Knowledge of AWS D1.1, ISO 3834, or ISO 9001 QA/QC requirements

Responsibilities

• Design steel members, connections, base plates, and secondary steelwork
• Build and run analysis models and check results against project codes
• Prepare design calculations and technical submissions for clients and consultants
• Respond to client comments and clarifications on design and drawings
• Review and approve shop drawings and erection drawings, and coordinate with detailers
• Prepare weight takeoffs and material lists
• Support estimating and tender pricing for new RFQs
• Support QA/QC documentation, including ITPs, material traceability, and inspection records
• Work with the workshop team on fabrication tolerances and technical queries
