Job summary

WSP in Riyadh seeks an experienced Stakeholder Manager to lead engagement across major transport and infrastructure projects. You will ensure alignment among project teams, government authorities, utilities, clients, and stakeholders, acting as the main liaison and coordinating meetings and consultations.

The role emphasizes building relationships, managing risks, and securing approvals while supporting delivery and governance compliance in Saudi Arabia's vibrant infrastructure landscape.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Urban Planning, Business Administration, Communications, Public Relations, or related discipline.
• 10+ years of professional experience in stakeholder management/co-ordination/external affairs.
• Experience on large-scale transport and infrastructure design projects in Saudi Arabia or GCC.
• Previous experience with engineering consultancy preferred.
• Proven track record engaging with public sector authorities, municipalities, transport authorities, and regulators.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in Arabic and English.
• Strong negotiation, influencing, and relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement stakeholder management and communication strategies for major transport and infrastructure projects.
• Identify, map, analyze, and maintain stakeholder registers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Build and maintain relationships with government entities, municipalities, regulatory authorities, utility providers, clients, and community representatives.
• Act as the primary liaison between project teams and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate stakeholder meetings, workshops, presentations, and consultation sessions.
• Manage stakeholder risks, issues, and concerns, ensuring timely resolution and escalation where appropriate.
• Facilitate approvals, permits, and coordination requirements with authorities and utilities.
• Support project teams in obtaining stakeholder buy-in for design solutions and initiatives.
• Prepare stakeholder engagement reports, correspondence, meeting minutes, and executive updates.
• Monitor stakeholder commitments and ensure actions are tracked and closed.
• Collaborate with project managers, design managers, discipline leads, and clients to support project delivery.
• Ensure compliance with client requirements, governance frameworks, and regulatory obligations.

WSP is seeking an experienced Stakeholder Manager to join our Transport & Infrastructure team in Riyadh. The successful candidate will lead stakeholder engagement activities across major infrastructure and transportation design projects, ensuring effective communication, alignment, and collaboration between project teams, government authorities, utility providers, clients, and key project stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in stakeholder management, stakeholder coordination, or external affairs.
• Demonstrated experience working on large-scale transport and infrastructure design projects within Saudi Arabia or the GCC.
• Previous experience with an engineering consultancy is highly preferred.
• Proven track record engaging with public sector authorities, municipalities, transport authorities, utility providers, and regulatory bodies.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure and transportation project lifecycles from planning through design and delivery.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and English.
• Strong negotiation, influencing, and relationship management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities within complex project environments.
