Job summary

Lucid Motors is seeking a Sr. Staff Project Manager, Retail Development to lead end‑to‑end delivery of Lucid retail and service facilities across the Middle East.

You will coordinate cross‑functional teams and external partners through feasibility, design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover, ensuring on‑time, on‑budget delivery aligned with brand standards. The role requires 8+ years in construction/project management, an engineering degree, PMP preferred, and fluent English

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, or Electrical preferred).
  • PMP certification is highly desirable.
  • 8+ years of project management in construction/real estate environments.
  • Experience in automotive retail environments is an advantage.
  • Experience in Saudi Arabia or GCC with local regulations is valuable.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end‑to‑end delivery of Lucid retail and service facilities across the Middle East.
  • Coordinate feasibility, design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover activities.
  • Manage budgets, schedules, and scope to ensure on‑time, on‑budget delivery.
  • Maintain project documentation, governance, and risk/issue management.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and external partners.

Position Overview

The Project Manager, Retail Development, is responsible for the end‑to‑end delivery of Lucid retail and service facilities across the Middle East. The role ensures projects are planned, executed, and delivered on time, on budget, and in full compliance with Lucid brand, technical, and operational standards. Working cross‑functionally and with external partners, the role acts as the central coordination point throughout the full project lifecycle from feasibility through handover.

Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Initiation
  • Support network expansion plans through feasibility assessment, site readiness evaluation, and project scoping.
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones in coordination with internal stakeholders.
  • Support budget development, cost estimates, and approval processes in collaboration with Finance.
Design, Procurement & Delivery
  • Coordinate design development to ensure compliance with Lucid brand standards and operational requirements.
  • Support tendering, contractor selection, and technical evaluations in line with governance frameworks.
  • Manage consultants and contractors through project stages, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and quality.
  • Monitor site progress, risks, and dependencies, driving issue resolution and mitigation actions.
  • Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, and final handover activities.
  • Ensure all facilities achieve launch readiness and certification prior to activation.
  • Support operations teams with CI and construction updates for existing facilities (outside the maintenance scope covered by our facility team).
Reporting & Coordination
  • Prepare structured project status reports covering progress, risks, costs, and next steps.
  • Act as primary coordination point between commercial teams, procurement, Capital Projects team, IT, Security, and external partners.
  • Maintain complete project documentation, reporting, and audit readiness.
Skills
  • Strong proficiency in project management tools (e.g. MS Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent).
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, MEP, and civil engineering drawings.
  • Working knowledge of construction contracts (FIDIC or equivalent), contractor management, and variation / claims handling.
  • Familiarity with IT, security, and AV systems within commercial or retail environments.
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Clear and effective communicator, able to coordinate across internal teams and external partners.
  • High attention to detail, particularly in technical documentation and contractor submissions.
  • Proactive, solutions‑oriented, and comfortable operating in fast‑paced environments.
  • Fluency in English is required; Arabic proficiency is a strong advantage.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, or Electrical preferred).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly desirable.
  • Additional qualifications in construction management or facilities development are an advantage.
  • 8+ years of experience in project management within construction, fit‑out, or real estate development environments.
  • Proven delivery of end‑to‑end facility projects from feasibility and planning through commissioning and handover.
  • Experience within automotive retail environments (studios, showrooms, service centres, or dealerships) is a strong advantage.
  • Experience working in Saudi Arabia or the broader GCC region, with solid understanding of local regulations, Baladiya approvals, and Saudi Building Code requirements.
