Job summary

Vanderlande in Saudi Arabia seeks a Senior Planning Engineer to lead detailed project scheduling using Primavera P6 and manage cross-functional planning activities for major airport infrastructure projects.

You will mentor planning staff, coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning, and drive scheduling quality across programs in a multicultural environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical, electrical, construction engineering or related field
• 10+ years in planning and project controls on large-scale infra/EPC projects
• Advanced Primavera P6; knowledge of MS Project and Power BI preferred
• Strong baseline scheduling, resource planning, critical path analysis, delay analysis, EOT and schedule optimization
• Experience preparing management reports, dashboards, S-curves, histograms and presentations
• Strong leadership, analytical, communication and stakeholder management
• Proven ability to mentor junior planning team members in multicultural environments

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 with WBS, milestones, baselines and critical path
• Coordinate schedules with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation and Commissioning teams
• Monitor progress and update schedules weekly and monthly
• Prepare progress reports, dashboards, S-curves, histograms, earned value and look-ahead schedules
• Identify schedule risks, delays and slippages; recommend mitigation and acceleration plans
• Review subcontractor schedules and monitor performance against approved programmes
• Analyze delays and disruptions; support EOT and delay analysis requirements
• Support tender planning with bid schedules and resource-loaded programmes
• Present schedule performance, risks and corrective actions in project reviews
• Mentor Planning Engineers and Coordinators and review planning deliverables for quality
• Promote consistent planning standards, reporting methods and continuous improvement across projects

What are my responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, including WBS, milestones, baseline schedules, and critical path analysis.
• Coordinate schedules with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation, and Commissioning teams.

What do I need to qualify for the role

• Bachelor's degree in civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 10 + years of experience in planning and project controls, preferably in large-scale infrastructure, EPC, airport, BHS, or MHS projects.
• Advanced expertise in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel; knowledge of Microsoft Project and Power BI is preferred.
• Strong experience in baseline scheduling, resource planning, critical path analysis, delay analysis, EOT preparation, and schedule optimization.
• Experience preparing management reports, dashboards, S-curves, histograms, and project presentations.
• Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to mentor junior planning team members and work effectively in multicultural, multidisciplinary environments.
