Job summary

Lucid Motors in Saudi Arabia seeks a Mechanical Engineer II focused on stator and rotor design for the manufacturing interface. You will lead root-cause analysis, drive design-for-manufacturing improvements, and support high-volume assembly with cross-functional teams.

This role requires 4+ years in automotive design/release, proficiency with Catia/3DX, DFMEA/PFMEA, and collaboration across product, manufacturing and quality. EIT or advanced degrees are a plus.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering with 4 years in automotive design and release.
• Master's degree with 2 years automotive experience is a plus.
• Experience with DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plan and RCA.
• Proficiency in Catia or 3DX and 2D/3D stack-up analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead problem solving for stator and rotor subassemblies and interfaces.
• Support high volume production ramp and process improvements.
• Drive design intent, assembly requirements and on-line enforcement.

Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer II Stator Rotor as part of resident product engineering organization in the plant Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches their work with vigor determination amp leads by example Candidate will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields to possess the ability to lead the team through technical amp organizational challenges to deliver impactful results in an ambiguous environment

Key Responsibilities

Solve complex component system level problems using standard problem-solving techniquesData driven proactive problem solving root cause analysis amp issue avoidance due to process deviations or critical part quality issuesEstablish technical depth to troubleshoot Stator amp Rotor sub-assemblies amp its interface with manufacturing process amp associated equipment related variablesResponsible for design intent assembly requirements for Stator amp Rotor associated enforcement on the line in close collaboration with cross-functional teamsResponsible for setting up process flow amp implementation of assembly drawings covering product specifications relevant to manufacturingSupport prototype builds to verify product compatibility against MFG process equipmentSupport new product launches execute part concession deviations for E-Motor assembly in the manufacturing plantSupport high volume production ramp activities pertaining to product engineering activitiesAdvice on build process development and possible improvements for high volume production linesLead product change management to address known product compatibility issues for high volume production or known product design issues in production in close collaboration with cross-functional teams where appropriateEvaluate Cp Cpk Pp Ppk control charts distribution behavior and correlation between process parameters and product performance Provide plant feedback to product design teams and recommend design changes that improve manufacturability quality serviceability and production robustnessLead technical discussions involving Product Engineering Manufacturing Engineering Quality Supplier Quality Production Maintenance Controls and Equipment EngineeringProvide technical mentoring to technicians production associates and less-experienced engineersEnsure lessons learned are incorporated into current improvement plans and future product designs process standards and equipment specifications
