Eram Talent is currently seeking a highly skilled Sr. Financial Analyst specializing in Planning & Performance Management within the Oil & Gas Upstream sector. This role is integral to our financial planning and performance assessment processes, providing insights that drive the strategic direction of our operations. The Sr. Financial Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to assess financial performance, analyze variances, and support the overall financial strategy of the organization.

In this position, you will be responsible for developing financial models, preparing comprehensive forecasts, and conducting in-depth analyses to support decision‑making. Your expertise in the oil and gas industry will be critical in navigating the complexities of upstream operations and ensuring financial objectives are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strong technical expertise in the area of Finance, e.g. developing financial statements, budget development and tracking, asset management, financial modeling, value assurance and financial risk management.
  • Experience in annual business planning, quarterly forecasting, and performance review cycles within a large, complex organization.
  • Experience in organizational operational excellence, and transformational programs/campaigns through direct roles in transformation projects or via professional experience at management consulting firms or similar organizations that delivered cost savings and financial performance improvements.
  • Experience in defining and implementing KPIs and performance dashboards to monitor transformation progress and impact.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret complex financial data, identify trends and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Experience in developing and implementing strategic plans with knowledge of organizational change management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including developing and delivering presentations, as well as technical writing capabilities.
  • Experience in developing training materials and delivering workshops or coaching sessions to business and finance teams.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, related field; MBA or professional certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 9+ years of experience in financial analysis, with a focus on planning and performance management in the Oil & Gas upstream industry.
  • Experience with data analysis, visualization techniques, and reporting tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to foster partnerships and team collaboration.
  • Familiar with Transformation Value Capture processes and able to develop related financial governance.
  • Supports executive team in setting overall Transformation targets and appropriate resource allocation.
  • Works with Initiative Owners and Finance teams to ensure a consistent approach to valuation of initiative impact.
  • Segregates the financial impact of the Transformation from baseline performance.
  • Experience with business process improvement methodologies like Lean Six Sigma.
  • In‑depth knowledge of the oil and gas industry, including trends, challenges, and regulations.
