Job summary

WSP USA is hiring an experienced Site Surveyor in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia to join the Construction Supervision team. The role covers surveying, setting-out, verification of levels and coordinates, and ensuring works follow approved drawings and specs.

The candidate will coordinate with Resident Engineers, Architects, and Contractors, review contractor survey records, and prepare survey reports and documentation for the team. Middle East experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in consultancy/construction supervision.
• Experience with property and buildings developments.
• Middle East experience, preferably within Saudi Arabia or GCC.
• Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and quality control procedures.
• Experience with AutoCAD and survey data processing software.
• Good communication and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform site surveys, setting out, and verification of levels, coordinates, dimensions, and alignments for building works.
• Establish and maintain survey control points, benchmarks, and reference systems across the project site.
• Review contractor survey records, calculations, and as-built documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Verify the accuracy of building layouts, structural elements, utilities, and architectural features against approved drawings.
• Conduct topographic and construction surveys as required during project execution.
• Monitor contractor survey activities and identify deviations from project specifications and approved designs.
• Prepare survey reports, records, sketches, and documentation for the supervision team.
• Coordinate with Resident Engineers, Architects, Structural Engineers, and Contractors to resolve survey-related issues.
• Support the inspection team during construction activities and provide technical survey advice.
• Ensure adherence to project quality standards, health and safety requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
• Assist in the review and certification of completed works prior to project handover.
