The Role

The Continuous Improvements Manager supports, coordinates and facilitates implementation of new and improved structures, processes and activities. Working closely with AMET teams and all levels of management within the Fulfillment Center (FC), you report directly to the Regional Continuous Improvement Manager.

For this role you will need to be adaptable, challenge motivated and thrive on implementing high standard productivity and simplicity using Kaizen/PDCA methods with experience in Operations and Continuous Improvement. The ideal candidate loves to work on processes directly on the FC shop floor as well improving them systematically. Curiosity and the confidence to take calculated risks quickly, strong analytical skills and a data-driven outlook with great communication skills are core characteristics for Continuous Improvements Managers.

In your role as a Site representative of the AMET FC ACES team, you will drive improvements and the implementation of standards in our growing network at your site. Furthermore you will be an essential part of a team that is supporting launches and implements new processes together with operations. The Manager will be in frequent interaction with colleagues from our AMET network and take a leadership role in the deployment of projects. This position requires deep customer focus, strong self-motivation and exceptional project management skills.

Key job responsibilities
  • Manage the Fulfilment Centre improvement plan to focus on best customer experience at the lowest cost
  • Develop a culture of continuous improvement and lean thinking
  • Serve as ACES network representative, validate alignment between site practices and network standards
  • Contribute to and facilitate Kaizen activities
  • Help drive the implementation of Lean Standard Work
  • Train and support all levels in Kaizen activities
  • Disseminate Lean Standard Work principles across teams
  • Support and manage the Fulfilment Centre implementation Agenda
  • Coordinate and prioritize LSC process improvement activities and resources
  • Monitors, audits and drives adherence on operational standards – benchmark evaluation, standard work auditing, variation reduction and LSC project validation
  • Lead daily GEMBA activities, going to the source of the problem, working with tenacity to rapidly solve associate identified barriers
  • Standardize processes to Amazon and ECCF benchmark standards
  • Liaise between FC and AMET/ROW to drive leverage of cross-CF process excellence
  • Maintain strong relationships with AMET/ROW Process Owners and FC Process Engineer
A day in the life

Your day begins with an early morning Gemba walk, observing processes and engaging with associates to understand floor challenges. You'll review previous day's performance metrics, lead daily operations meetings, and drive immediate solutions for any variations. Throughout the day, you'll conduct standard work audits, coach teams on lean methodologies, and validate ACES network initiatives implementation. You might facilitate a Kaizen event, analyze performance data, or coordinate with regional teams on network-wide projects. Your role combines strategic thinking with hands‑on execution, ensuring both daily operational excellence and long‑term process improvements.

About the team

You will report to the AMET Regional Continuous Improvement Manager, with a dotted line reporting to the FC Site Leader. This dual reporting structure ensures strong site‑level engagement while maintaining alignment with network‑wide best practices.

As a Process Engineer within the FC ACES (Amazon Customer Excellence System) Team, you'll be part of a comprehensive ecosystem that drives operational excellence. As the dedicated Process Engineer for your FC, you will:

  • Drive the successful implementation of cross‑functional projects
  • Ensure seamless deployment while identifying and addressing site‑specific challenges
  • Maintain site compliance with network standards and process flows
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree, or experience in Engineering, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Experience in solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits), or experience with process improvement, Kaizen, and Six Sigma
  • Minimum 18 months of direct Amazon FC operations experience (Inbound, Outbound, ICQA)
  • Proficiency in analyzing Amazon FC metrics and KPIs
  • Strong ability interpreting & communicating analytics and presenting to senior leadership
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma concepts and best practices
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
  • Knowledge of process improvement, ideally including Lean, Kaizen and Six Sigma
  • Advanced data analysis skills and an expert in using supporting tools e.g. Minitab, JMP, MS Access
  • Knowledge and ability to use standard development tools e.g. AutoCAD, MS Visio
