Boeing Saudi Arabia is seeking Simulator Technician for C-130 Aircrew Training Device (ATD) to conduct training operations for the Royal Saudi Air Force at King Abdullah Air Base in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This role focuses on repairs, testing, installation, configuration, upgrading and assisting in day-to-day operations for the simulators and training components during mission planning and simulator training sessions. On-site support personnel will serve as Training Device Technician, data analyst and end-user technical support for the Aircrew Training Device ATD. Additional support includes ensuring all software security/anti-virus profiles are current, establishing regular backup sessions, and providing over-the-shoulder system support if required.

Important This is an open term contract and subject to contract award.

Responsibilities
  • The selected candidate will be responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of the ATD, including system start-up, running and shutdown as needed for training sessions.
  • Maintain end-user access security databases, perform regular database backups, recover from system failures, apply application, Operating System and DBMS security patches along with other routine computer and database administration tasks.
  • Provide training support in both formal and informal (mostly on-the-job) environments.
  • Provide technical support to the RSAF as required.
  • Repair, modify, maintain, and update the C-130 Aircrew Training Device located on site.
  • Install, configure, upgrade, modify and repair computer and network systems, visual image generation and display systems, input/output systems, and control loading hardware and software.
  • Perform general pre-operations and post-operations procedures and component handling of flight training devices.
  • Troubleshoot to isolate computational, mechanical, or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
  • Provide customer service to end-users (pilots, subject matter experts, and engineering).
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in aircraft simulator training device maintenance and the operating systems and display systems associated with flight simulators/training devices.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows-based systems.
  • Hands-on experience with backup technologies.
  • Hands-on configuration and maintenance experience with hardware technology.
  • Previous experience working with RSAF or other Saudi Military service.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
  • Excellent English reading, writing and communication skills.
  • Good communication skills in proposal preparation, presentation, clarification and report writing for all levels.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and support.
  • Ability to coordinate activities with RSAF Aircrew Maintenance Management Leadership.

This requisition is for an international, locally hired position in Saudi Arabia. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S.-based payroll and will be commensurate with experience and qualifications and in accordance with applicable Saudi Arabia law. Employment is subject to the candidate\'s ability to satisfy all Saudi Arabia labor and immigration formalities.
