Job summary

Weatherford is seeking a Field Engineer III - Wireline to provide hands-on field support and tool maintenance in the oil and gas sector. You will examine and maintain tools in the shop and in the field, supply onsite labor, and assist in timely job reporting.

Responsibilities include repairing company-owned and rental tools, aiding in time/cost/labor estimates, and recommending improvements to methods, efficiency, and quality while following Weatherford's Quality Plan and SHE procedures.

Qualifications

• 2-5+ years of relevant field experience in wireline or oilfield services.
• Design level with preferred petroleum/mechanical/chemical/industrial design background.
• Strong general mechanical skills and hands-on capability.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Examine and maintain tools in the shop and in the field.
• Provide onsite labour when needed.
• Repair and maintain company-owned and rental tools in the field.
• Assist in time, cost, and labour estimates for job completion.
• Suggest improvements to methods, efficiency, and quality to raise performance.
• Prepare accurate and timely job reports.
• Assist in shop operations and deliveries when available.
• Support Field Service Rep IV when required.
• Follow Weatherford Quality Plan and all procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
